- how can a position be too good for player A and be a take for player B ?
I thought that, by definition, a position is too good when my (normalized)
equity is grater then +1.000. In this case, if doubled my opponent should
drop, losing only -1.000. Too good/take does not exist.
I've not looked at the position in question, but tg/take is possible in match
play, e.g. say the score is 4-away 8-away cube on 2. If player A has lots of
gammon chances then the position is too good, but if he doubles player B then
automatically redoubles to 8 (as A only needs 4 points), it's quite possible
that player B has more winning chances than passing (to 2-away 8-away).
