Sounds does not work.
About three hours after I posted the original message I realized that I didn't include a path when looking for files and fixed and resubmitted another disk image on my iDisk.
If you downloaded the image right after I posted my message, you may simply try to download the new version again or edit the file
/Applications/Gnubg.app/Contents/MacOS/bin/gnubg.x11
and add the following line anywhere before gnubg is called:
export PATH="/Applications/Gnubg.app/Contents/MacOS/local/bin:${PATH}"
That should take care of it.
