Right, even Jon's hypothesis of a problem due to truncation to
exact bearoff/one-sided databases is wrong (I disabled the option
and the outcome didn't change).

It shouldn't be. The only thing I can imagine is if it is rolled as
an "initial position", but it doesn't make sense, especially since
the GUI version gets it right !

On the bug-tracker there's a patch proposed by Michel Delpreli : Jon
said it didn't solve the problem, but if you understand the intended
modification maybe you can get a clue at what's happening ...
