Not that many features at moment, we are mainly trying to adjust to an
updated version of gtk, (gtk is the interface builder used in gnubg)
and to catch up with old bugs.

SSE is a cpu feature. It is present in intel cpus from pentium III and
later and in newer amd cpus as well. Using this feature allows gnubg to
play 20-30% faster. Using the sse build should be a safe bet as the code
should check your cpu at runtime. Caused some problems in the past
though.

The Command Line Interface is text based interface to the gnubg playing
engine. I, for example use it to import, analyse and display the
statistics afterwards of matches I play on the internet. This way I
don't have to do the same thing in the graphical interface over and
over again. Any feature available in the cli can be accessed in the gui
command panel.

Could you be a bit more specific. I don't understand which feature you
are talking about.
