[Bug-gnubg] Can anyone recommend a C development environment?

I want to have a poke around in gnubg, primarily to see if I can fix the
.mat and .gam import. However, I'm a complete C novice.

I'm looking for an editor that will be more helpful than my current text
editor - Notetab Lite. Ideally, it would provide syntax highlighting,
help with preserving correct indentation , and provide some integrated C
help (though there's plenty of references on the web).

I'm using Windows 2000 and or Windows XP. Any suggestions greatly
appreciated.
