Hi!
I don't know if anyone has answered off-list, so in case nobody has:
Can I help with a dutch translation ?
Let me know what is required and I will respond.
Gnubg's translation is based on GNU gettext package (see
http://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/ for info). In short, you need to
take a text file with the translation template and for each english item
add its translation.
The template is located in po/gnubg.pot in the source tree
(http://savannah.gnu.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs/*checkout*/gnubg/gnubg/po/gnubg.pot?rev=HEAD&content-type=text/plain)
it is generated automatically from the source files using the gettext tools.
As an experienced developer, you might want to checkout the whole gnubg
source from CVS (see http://savannah.gnu.org/cvs/?group=gnubg) and take
a look at the po subdirectory (or get just the gnubg.pot file, if you
want). Copy gnubg.pot to nl.po, translate its contents and publish it
afterwards, someone will commit it to CVS (or some admin will grant you
CVS write access to manage the translation). There are some GUI-based
tools for po files (I have written one for myself, too ;-) ), emacs has
a special mode for them, but any plain-text editor will do.
HTH.
