Well, as already mentioned a few times, it's at least me. Glib 2.x is
linked to some/one missing export that doesn't exist on (at least, not
sure about Win98) Win95.

That said I see the benefit of not having to bother with different
code blocks of course. Perhaps we could find a way that kind of
freezes the 1.3 things and use 2.4+ only for everything new.

Maybe, but not necessarily. What is the general opinion in which state
gnubg is? Still alpha, or already beta? Its usability has been proven,
but I'm inclined to see it still in alpha state.

If we opt for a new version, how about 2 version numbers - one for the
program and one for the NN?
