I realize this has already been the subject of requests, but I promised to
re-iterate it. I was at the Rio Backgammon 2004 tournament last weekend in
which a number of world-class players participated, and I was quite pleased
to see how many of them already knew about GNUbg. However, one particular
comment/complaint came up no less than 3 times, with a few head nods on the
side agreeing: some of the players actually only use Snowie 4 because of its
option to play against it and immediately see its analysis in the pane. I
pointed out the Hint function, and the Tutor mode, but they didn't like the
need to constantly click in order to be able to see the analysis. The other
complaint was the usual on the stats not being visible in the pane, but it
was less discussed than the first issue. They really wanted to see the
equities at all times.

For those without snowie, this feature shows the analysis (in the pane at the side of the board) after a decision is made, the dice have to be clicked to carry on. You can set which players and which decisions are shown and what level of analysis is carried out.

I doubt it would be too hard to do, perhaps it should be added to the todo list? On a related note the todo list seems a bit out of date...
