I have some plans about rewriting a lot of the engine; it shouldn't be
visible for the users, but make it easier for the programers. It might
be able to squeze your suggestion in.

Jim Segrave is the gnubg-bearoff-ftp-master, so you should coordinate
with him.

Such tasks are probably better implemented inside the python interface.
