Here I am :).
I followed the instructions: cd to the "po" directory,
copied gnubg.pot to "it.po".
Too bad the first command give me some trouble. Here it is.
$ make update-gmo
rm -f it.gmo && /usr/bin/msgfmt -c --statistics -o it.gmo
it.po
/usr/bin/msgfmt: it.po: warning: Charset "CHARSET" is not a
portable encoding name.
Message conversion to
user's charset might not work.
/usr/bin/msgfmt: it.po: some header fields still have the
initial default value
/usr/bin/msgfmt: it.po: warning: PO file header fuzzy
warning: older versions of msgfmt
will give an error on this
/usr/bin/msgfmt: found 1 fatal error
make: *** [it.gmo] Error 1
Whad can I do about it?
More important: is anybody already at work on the italian
translation? The part already translated - I don't want to
offend anyone with this - are quite poor, and too much
"englishis"... it sound quite unnatural to read.
I'd like to make it more comfortable and understandable. And
more complete, of course.
One string a day... :-)
