You just explained the reason for having troubles. ;-)

The first attachment must be the "MIME"-encoded text (an internet
standard for sending e-mails).
On both the second attachment is the signature file (signature in the
meaning of a valid pgp/gpg string), multipart/signed sended (described
in RFC 1847 and 2015 AFAIK).

I'm afraid to tell you that the only chance to change this is forcing
Billy-Boy to respect standards when selling software.

Get Mozilla or Pegasus Mail. Both should be able to handle these
messages.
