Hi all,
I have good news for those running Windows 95 or 98. I think the crashes
related to the freetype library have vanished. After quite some time only
building without freetype I've tried it again with the latest version of
freetype (2.1.4) and haven't experienced any crash so far.
At least with those libraries as described under
http://storm.prohosting.com/gnubg/ it works well. The page isn't entirely
done yet. The necessary files for a make are still missing. I have to
adjust mines a bit because I use different folders than described.
With this procedure GnuBG requires:
libintl-1.dll (maybe because GTK was linked against this)
iconv.dll (maybe because GTK was linked against this)
libart_lgpl.dll
freetype-6.dll
gdbm.dll
libgdk-0.dll
libglib-2.0-0.dll
libgtk-0.dll
libgmodule-2.0-0.dll
libiconv-2.dll
libintl-2.dll
libpng.dll
zlib.dll
libxml2.dll
Øystein and Nardy, how about we all build the same way? Then the
installation folder won't be so messed up with libraries.
Regards,
Holger
