I can't reproduce that one here.
But I do get an assertation error with:
Export position to png (whatever position)
1. "Expression: pftg->format == FT_GLYPH_FORMAT_BITMAP"
(render.c line 1178)
2. "Expression: pb-> pixel_mode == FT_PIXEL_MODE_GRAY"
(render.c line 1196)
