Yes. you're absolutely right -- I wrote the mail early in the morning :-)
The only increase will come from storing gammon distributions as well,
instead of using the current heuristics for calculating gammons.

Yes, I store the distribution for taking one or more chequers off which
can be used for gammon probabilities.
