I'm forwarding this message to the mailing list.

Peter, can you post bug reports to the list instead of mailing me?
It will reach me any way, but if you use the list, the other developers
will be able to help as well.

hi Oystein,
today I downloaded the latest snapshot (0627).
Now I just played a match on GamesGrid, saved it as a .sgg-file and had it
analyzed by GNUBG.

Enclosed you can find the analyzed file as well as the pre-analyzed
.sgg-file!
In game no. 2, move 28 I double to 4, my opponent takes.
When I move to this situation in the game-record-window, I suddenly get an
error-message saying:

"Assertion failed!
 Program: D:\PROGRAMME\GNU\GNUBG\GNUBG-020627.EXE
 File: eval.c
 Line: 6728

 Expression: FALSE

For information how your program can cause an assertion failure, see the
Visual C++ Documentation
on asserts

(Please retry to debug the application -JIT must be enabled)"

If I try to ignore this message by clicking on an 'ignore'-button (which is
included in the error-message-window), the GNU annotation window shows a
funny comment of the cube-decision: The comment to my 4-cube is: 'Proper
cube action: I have no idea!'
the comment to the take of my opponent is: 'Correct response: Eat it!'

I havent seen such a problem in earlier snaphots of GNUBG for Windows.

It would be great if you could let me know what is wrong with it by sending
an e-mail.

Thank you

Peter
