Hi Bruno,
Now the next challenge would be to try it with --enable-shared.
I don't know whether libtool already supports mingw64.
Yes - I've built quite a few dynamic libraries, though I generally use
static libs.
No problem building gettext-0.18 with --enable-shared, once I had built a
shared libiconv.
This time there was a second failure, in addition to the msgexec-4 failure:
SKIP: xgettext-glade-3
xgettext.exe: Language "glade" is not supported. xgettext.exe relies on
expat.
This version was built without expat.
FAIL: xgettext-glade-4
Perhaps that test should have been skipped ?
Anyway, I then built a shared expat library and re-built gettext-0.18. This
time, it's just the one failing test (msgexec-4, as before):
=======================
1 of 312 tests failed
(30 tests were not run)
=======================
That's one extra test skipped in comparison to the static build (which ran
313 tests and skipped only 29).
Looks pretty good to me.
Cheers,
Rob
