I received a report that the php headers in the php tests in
gettext-tools/tests/ should be fixed to use "<?php" instead of "<?",
since "<?" can cause problems in certain php configurations (eg if
"short_open_tag = Off" is set in /etc/php.ini).
Below is a patch by Robert Scheck which should fix the files in question.
