Fixes for sharutils

pending a full/proper release (RSN :), the following two issues are 
addressed.
Note to translators:  split messages were combined into single messages
making it now possible to properly translate them.  Thank you!

The full path to the build directory is added to PATH, not the (possibly)
relative path ${top_builddir}/src
