If there is no file matching the filename pattern string in the current
directory in a recursive grep, it errors...
example:
fgrep -ri "cn: " *.ldif
fgrep: *.ldif No such file or directory
However, if you change *.ldif to *
most of the results returned are in ldif files in subdirectories (at
least in the source code I was searching in this case)
