I am trying to do a replacement, exchanging ";" with ";" followed by a newline: sed 's/;/;\n/g' input > output Unfortunately, I cannot seem to get this to work. Is this a bug? I am using cygwin on win2kpro. Any helps, comments, suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks in anticipation, -d-
