I can save Paul a few kestrokes:
it used to be on alpha.gnu.org . After a hack has been discovered, all
contents of ftp.gnu.org and alpha.gnu.org was to be approved.
Paul is complaining that a problem in communication prevented patch
2.5.9 from getting back to the new alpha.gnu.org .
So people can fairly safely grab the sources from a Linux distribution or
another place.
