Re: gawk: http://../manual/gawk is obsolete

    is still version 3.1.1, though the current version is 3.1.3 .

    This confused at least one whiny Mc-user.  ;-)

    Whoever is able to fix this, please save him, and easy the life for
    the others.

Since both fencepost and gnudist have been inaccessible for over a week,
there is no way to fix it right now :(.  And when they come back, I
don't know what kind of provisions there will be for doing updates,
especially of manuals, which are handled separately from software.

bkuhn sent out one note to gnu-prog saying some kind of upload access
would be available by Tuesday August 5 -- obviously they were wildly
optimistic :).  I sent some msgs offering to help, but no reply, I
suppose they are horribly burdened right now.

If anyone has any newer information, I'm sure many people would
appreciate an update :).
