I prefer to use the formula
plural=(n==1) ? 0 : (n>=2 && n<=4) ? 1 : 2;
so that msgstr[0] corresponds to the singular form and
msgstr[nplurals-1] to the main plural form.
1) for consistency with the other plural formulas,
2) because that's likely to be most natural for the translators.
