I tried the combination. I need to use it hopefully not for long until
the cd burner can be gotten to work. A problem with this kind of drive is
overheating. If you do 6 volumes in it and wait a half hour you can
probably do another six. I have a couple scripts to do a system backup
onto those zip disks and might be able to set things up so I could drop
back to root prompt after the sixth disk was processed. Here's the
problem though, or maybe it's not a problem. I wait a half hour to allow
drive to cool down and come back to do another set of disks. How do I
tell tar to create archive after volume 6 and continue on from that point.
>From the wayb info read, it doesnt appear to me that either append or
update would get this job done. If tar is not going to work in this
application I probably can try it with zip then zipsplit unless better
solutions are available.
