Hi,
the option R (show record number) together with W (verify the archive)
gives the record number for each file.
When verifying, the record number should start at 0, but it continues
with the last record number, see example:
~/tmp $ tar cvWRf /dev/fd0 A302406.zip
block 0: A302406.zip
Verify block 741: A302406.zip
Is this intended?
