New WebPhotoForum reaches for the “Critical Mass” of Digital and Film Photographers

www.webphotoforum.com is a U.K. based web site run by photographers for photographers. Members can create galleries of their work so that other photographers, professional and amateur, can post critiques and comments on various elements such as composition, lighting, exposure and aesthetics.

Chris Chedgzoy, the creator of the site says: “My main reason for creating the WebPhotoForum was because the audience for my work was limited mainly to my family and friends. What I really wanted was to be able to let a much wider range of people, who had a real interest in photography, see my work and let me know how I could improve my standards. I thought that if such a service would help me, then it would no doubt help lots of other people, whether they were experienced professionals, or completely new to photography.”

The web site went live on the 21st of February 2002 and has received great interest from all over the world, which means that, no matter what time of the day you log on, there is always someone online to ask advice of and offer critique on your work.  The site also offers a very active forum section (both live and in an archived format) where members can debate the latest techniques or equipment and pose questions to the more experienced.
