DEFAULT in tests/genfile.c

Hello to all,
I was building tar 1.13 using gcc 3.0.4 on a hppa2.0w-hp-hpux11.00 system
and "make check" said "genfile.c:33: parse error before numeric constant"
- it seems DEFAULT was considered a number, I put an "#undef DEFAULT"
just before that place and genfile.c could compile (and all tests passed).
I thought it was an unusual thing to have to do and I should report it.
