Hi,
binutils-2.12 configured, built, checked out, and installed fine
under alpha-dec-osf5.1A. However, on attempting to use it to compile
gcc-3.0.4, the make bootstrap bombed on libiberty.a. No other message
was given. When I removed all of that binutils-2.12 installed, gcc-3.0.4
configured and built without problem. Is binutils-2.12 supposed to work
under alpha-dec-osf5.1A?
