All these kinds of comments - date of translation, translator,
dialect, orthography, and what else - are translator comments, in the
sense that the tools won't attempt to modify or rewrite them.

msgattrib only wants to deal with a few specific attributes.

I can offer a msggrep option '-C', for grepping in the translator
comments. Would that serve your purpose?
