I presume you mean "from AC_CHECK_PARTED" ;)

GNU seems to be a strange namespace to use. What do "non-affiliated"
projects use? Why should parted share a namespace with emacs (and
not apache)? That said, I can't think of anything better *shrug*.
Perhaps the autoconf ppl should set a standard, like USER_*?
Or YOUR_PROGRAM_*? (PED_CHECK_PARTED?)
