I have the same problem on a L2000 running HPUX 11.00. I also tried on a
A180 with HPUX 11.00 32bits, and the problem is the same.
The filesystem was created with this command :
newfs -F vxfs -o largefiles -b 8192 ...
The tar works perfectly on files smaller than 2 Gb.
