Thanks for bug report!  I understand what you're reporting in what I
omitted above.  I can probably find time to fix these things, one way or
another, this week or over the weekend.

That surprises me.  The reason that PSPP (and older versions of SPSS)
have an 80-character limit is that the .sav file format has an
80-character limit.  Suppose that you create a document in SPSS that
exceeds the limit.  What happens if you think save to a .sav file, close
it, and reopen it?  Maybe there is a new format for documents that
supports wide documents, or maybe SPSS just wraps the long lines to
multiple lines.  I'd like to know, so that I can make PSPP do the same
thing.

I don't mind it when people point out problems, even if they are small
problems.  (I do mind when people act angry over them!  I do have
feelings.)  Please continue to report bugs as you notice them.
