PSPP-BUG: PSPP for Mac: crashing at startup after MacPorts-Installation

Hi,

today I installed PSPP for Mac (Installer: Mac OS X 10.5 (ppc i386): PSPP 0.8.2, rev 0 MD5 from Jeremy Lavergne) on my PowerPC G4 running with Mac OSX version 10.5.8. 

Installation ended without indicating problems, as can be shown with the following final lines:

---> Scanning binaries for linking errors: 100.0%

---> No broken files found.

/opt/local/bin: <user>$ sudo port select --set python python27

Password:

Selecting 'python27' for 'python' succeeded. 'python27' is now active.

I then started PSPP for Mac with the following command in terminal: 

/opt/pspp/bin/psppire

The startup of the application was ended prematurelx and the log showed the following errors:

Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display "/tmp/launch-o0QRfC/:0".

(psppire:45052): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: Cannot open pixbuf loader module file '/opt/pspp/lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache': No such file or directory

This likely means that your installation is broken.

Try running the command

gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders > /opt/pspp/lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache to make things work again for the time being.

Trying to overcome the problem with the suggested building of the loaders.cache did not make the application running. 

Could you suggest how to overcome this bug?
