emacs/src/fns.c uses md5_buffer directly, so I kept crypto/md5-buffer in admin/merge-gnulib's GNULIB_MODULES list. The idea is that GNULIB_MODULES says what Emacs needs directly, and that the rest of admin/merge-gnulib deduces the indirect dependencies.
