bug#26911: 25.2; eshell "cd .." doesn't work correctly with TRAMP

I tried running "make tramp-tests", but all I get is this:

    GEN      lisp/net/tramp-tests.log
  Not a Tramp file name: "NUL"

Any suggestions?
