This was due to a bug in uClibc. The nice folks over at Gnulib have already pushed a workaround, which should be added to Emacs the next time Gnulib is merged: https://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/gnulib.git/commit/?id=4e082bffbcc46e68644ae0d59b4f09bf2b5feb84 I'm therefore closing this bug report.
