??
what would the getAID do?
why do we need pooldb stuff for the api?
ditto userdb.
ditto trackingdb.
etc..

ie- wtf???

the api wouldnt be used for gne's siite, i think that can be kept pretty much as it is now. what it would be used for is for other ppl (if we were a business i would call them third parties)
to be able to access gne stuff.

not add articles or anything.

??

did u just go thru the db creating a function for every field?
im _really_ confused.

maybe thats coz its still too hot.

????????????????

anyways... the API, I've been drawing up a list of all
the standardised functions we'll need. This a list of the
client functions I can think of:

Article DB:
getAID
getAuthor
getLang
getDateSub
getTitle
getSynopsis
getBody
getSeeAlso

Pool DB:
getPAID
getPAuthor
getPLang
getPDateSub
getPTitle
getpSynopsis
getPBody
getPSeeAlso
getPEmode
getPAmode
getPApID
getPTmode
getPTrID

User DB:
getUsername
getPassword
getFname
getSname
getNName
getNumArt
getModEnd
getEmail
getPub
getSalutation
getSuffix

Tracking DB:
getAID
getPAID
getPNG
getJPG

Submitting to Pool DB:
putPAID
putPAuthor
putPLang
putPDateSub
putPTitle
putPSynopsis
putPBody
putPSeeAlso
putPEmode
putPAmode
putPApID
putPTmode
putPTrID

Other:
getNews
getServerList
