Well they buy the text themselves, and I guess are
allowed to show other people, just as you can share a
book with friends. But then you can't photocopy from a
library book officially, usually anyway. We're not
going to pay for them all.

And for now, lets look at this practically... we can't
have some select group to check for copyrights (yet).
We can't block everything just in case it is
copyrighted. All we can do is make some effort to
check them, and make it dead easy for people to notify
us (by means of a form, which I'm going to add to the
site I'm working on asap). In the future, we can
perhaps get a group of people to somehow hunt down
possible infringements, but there's little else we can
do so far as I see it.
