Keep in mind that there is a strong protection for internet service providers
available -- a straightforward takedown policy gets you a long way.  Basically,
if any copyright holder complains, GNE should take down the offending materials.

Napster only got in legal trouble because they refused to take down
the offending materials (links to copyrighted songs).  (They claimed
it was impossible, but now they are doing it anyway, thus showing
their hypocrisy.)  They did this because they knew full well that their
business model was all about copyright infringement.

GNE doesn't have that problem.  If someone puts copyrighted material
up, and someone complains, you just take it down.  Then the legal
fight is between the copyright owner and then person who posted.
(This is no different from Geocities, for example.)

Some of the naive ideological extremists here at GNE may think that this amounts
to censorship, but there's no reason to agree with them, since they are wrong.
