Not versed at all. I know only what I have picked up
along the way in discussions here, and I am failing to
see the point in it to some extent if its just a
backend storage thing. Surely a text file with the
same tags (like <author></author>) would be fine, if
you then parse it with Perl? I don't know much about
XML really :-)

For the moment, I'm pursuing the design that Rob Scott
and I came up with, using Perl, Apache, mod_bachkand
and mySQL. Once I get it working, and find a place
where I can hold it all (I'll really need a proper
dedicated server to get the mySQL database going
well!) we can compare the system with others I
suppose.
