We should respect the laws of countries, but only in that country. If
article xyz111 is physically only hosted in the United States, and is legal
in the United States, and a notice is placed to viewers in Algeria saying
that article xyz111 was banned by the Algerian Government, then if the
viewer does in fact view the article, I don't think the Algerian police is
going to be able to do anything about it, except bother the people in
Algeria who downloaded the article.
Likewise, if an article is posted in Denmark, stored in servers within the
soverein territory of Denmark, is legal in Denmark, and has a BIG HUGE
notice that the article has been banned in the United States (maybe
pro-communist) then the FBI or whoever would only be able to go after the
people who downloaded the data.
At least that's how I understand it.
On the other hand, Algeria might just ban all traffic from GNE servers. Some
coutries might do that, but then that's not our problem.
And it's not like we're making hand-grenades.
I mean, walk into any old library and you can find fiction that deal with
child pornography. There may not be any pictures, but I guarantee the text
will be descriptive enough.
I believe that concept is called Freedom of Speech.
