I'd suggest a hyperlink based system -- this flows better with the idea of
freedom -- we're not restricted to any one hierarchical categorization.

Instead, of placing things in categories, we create them independent of any
one categorization and they are classified under whatever classifications
are needed. Classifications can link to other categories, and (of course)
articles.

I've done work in categorization systems like these and I've found they're
quite useful.
