True, but then if you make money on it, then you have to pay your suppliers, 
even though the content is free or censorship, otherwise authors might feel 
it's a raw deal.

Because where you spend money, you have to make money, or you go bankrupt, a 
la dotcom, unless of course you receive charitable contributions and 
donations, but then that's a whole different ball of wax.

Yes, of course. All I am saying is that for each thousand they have 
attracted, there might have been another thousand who were disappointed and 
left the site without bothering.
