and I think in this case freedom is not too difficult. I don't understand
anyway why the whole world tries to tell me that MS-products are necessary
for survival :)

somebody suggested in an earlier posting to bundle a package for the
people - let's say a GNE-editor. I like to use "Lyx". It prevents me from
thinking too much (I'm also lazy sometimes), it's gpl'ed, it produces
tex and postscript and from there it's not too difficult to get html out
of it. We could package it, write a tei-template or something like that
and everybody would be happy (afaik there exists also a windows port of
lyx)

and - btw - the native format of word is not html, so it is not a suitable
tool for a web-encyclopedia anyway.
