One problem is that the HTML generated by the MSWord 'save as' function
is evil. Really evil. Even if it is HTML, it is evil HTML, because it
makes excessive use of stylesheets, etc. It's basically a heroic attempt
to preserve all of the stlistic niceties of a wordprocess in HTML, which
is evil.
I have strong opinions about this, obviously. :-)
