[Bug-gnupedia] If Nupedia/GNE merge

Okay let's consider, what would happen in the immediate future if 
Nupedia and GNE merged ?

As I see it we would leave Nupedia as it is currently while 
developing an alpha version of GNE software, when the GNE 
software has reached reasonable level of maturity GNE would be 
adopted by the Nupedia content users.

How would this be any different from the groups working 
independantly and just merging sometime in the future ?
