BRILLIANT!
Just when I thought that we might as well all pack our
bags and give up, or join Nupedia, I get this :)

So I take it we will have:

*) Our own web site
*) Our own servers + setup
*) Our own moderation system

Will we share article resources with Nupedia?

Oh and I think now would be a good time to get up a
first shot at the hosting, within the next few weeks.
I think we have all agreed that we should start off
like this:

*) XML files for storage
*) A database (SQL?) to keep the index in
*) HTML for the frontend display
*) Perl to handle the submissions + displaying etc.

If we can work on gettting some serves set up with
this ready, and available so we can fiddle with it as
we wish, then we can start writing the software
required to host it all, start finalising the
article/web site layout (first version of...), and get
some of the article's we have received up on a site!
So anyone with ideas on the detailed technical side of
those four issues (like the rather detailed thing rob
and I did for the outvoted system at
http://www.state-embers.co.uk/alexandria) should get
them written up soon.

If you could go and look at that URL anyway, because
if we use a database for the index, Rob and I have
worked out most of the technical details of the
database already (at the bottom).

Hector - how soon can we get the servers etc. so we
can start hosting stuff?
