Here is precisely why I think a database for the article repository is
a Bad Thing. At some point, this repository will contain hundreds of
thousands of articles, with dozens of different classifier schemes
accessing it. Since the back-end shouldn't be doing any classification
of its own, there is no need to ``search'' or ``index'' the content of
the repository, eliminating the advantages of a database. However, you
*would* need to re-constitute the XML from the database for every
request by a classifier, significantly increasing the load on the
repository servers for no good reason at all.
