For what it is worth, I agree too.  Nupedia is already making moves in
this direction by making available articles that have not yet completed
the review process.  We plan to broaden the scope of what is available
from our website to exactly match RMS's announcement.

We will be doing this in parallel to our original review process.
Articles published in an unreviewed state will say so, and we are
hoping that the unified project community will take a strong interest
in experimenting with filtering and voting ideas.

I believe more and more strongly that there is absolutely no reason to
have two encyclopedia projects at this time.  We are Nupedia are
seeking very eagerly to expand our mission to accomodate everyone.
