I note that your link is to a pay-per-click site. I haven't looked, but
I assume it's the same link Jimmy posted from /. If you clickon the
link, you'll be giving money to Jimmy (or Nupedia: I assume it's aimed
at raising some cash for Nupedia?)

suspect the latter. 

I have to be honest and say that I find those sort pay-per-click of
announcements annoying. The content could easily have been placed on
Nupedia's site and the /. link been made to there directly (I assume
that's where you fond the link?). It leave a little bit of a taste in
my mouth to see allegedly "free projects" playing these sort of tricks.
